If
your electrical panel cover looks like this.
Call
an electrician.
Exposed wires and buss bars carry electricity that can seriously injure or kill. Please don't modify your electrical panel. It is designed with a purpose in mind. YOUR SAFETY! A licensed qualified electrician will evaluate and can provide a proper repair for this problem. (back to top) Double taps (2 or more wires on a single terminal of an over current protection device) . Call an electrician.
Double
taps are a serious condition that could lead to arcing or heating
of the wire, terminal and or over-current protection device (breaker). In
this case, over fusing or over loaded wiring is not properly protected
and is a fire hazard. The branch wires connected to
the 100 amp circuit breaker have no protection and if this circuit
draws more current than the insulation can handle. The wire can
heat up, melt the insulation and is a real potential for fire. (back

If your wiring is older and your needs have out grown the existing panel.

Outdated electrical panels can be a real potential for fire. Today's appliances need a greater demand of electricity and we use more of them.
