Most of us are take for granted that each and every light fixture, switch, outlet and other electrical component has the potential to create heat that can lead to fire. When electrical components provide light, enetertainment, work and other tasks safely fire is not a concern but the potential is always there. Time and use could cause wear or conditions not readily seen could lead to potential problems. This slide shows some of these conditions. Call an electrician if you have one of these conditions or feel uneasy about the condition of an electrical component.
